“We won.”

Today, Jim did several laps in the hospital, and he wasn’t connected to anything.  It actually looked kind-of odd, very nice, but odd.  He also got the rest of his staples and stitches taken out.  Of course, the dietician came by after I left to get Sarah.  Helen said we knew more about what Jim should eat from the research we’ve already done.

I wish I had been there when Dr. Johnson came by though.  He first told Jim that the arterial bleed was probably caused by the blood thinner that was still in his body.  Then, and here’s the heart-swelling moment, he told Jim there was no reason to believe he had any disease in his body.  Jim already knew this though because when he could talk after his first surgery, he told his dad, “We won.”

Have been anxiously awaiting this wonderful news. Prayers answered. Thank God.
Such incredible news…no tubes, walking laps…knowing Jim, he will be jogging before he leaves the hospital. I am very relieved and joyous for all of you.
And that picture is priceless. Thanks for including it in the post.
    Know that my prayers continue.
